The stock market sure doesn't think the Fed is impotent. Every time the Fed sneezes a short covering rally takes the DOW up a couple hundred points. One of these days the Fed will make a major announcement and the market will react accordingly....by selling off. Because the Fed is indeed impotent to cure this credit crisis.

» permabear - The Credit Crisis is Over
A rally erupts on Wall Street as some analysts say the worst of the credit crisis may be over. Citigroup jumps 11% and leads financial stocks. GE gets an upgrade, but FedEx thinks the outlook is still weak. Markets will close for Good Friday.
That is according to the headlines on MSN as the reason for the big stock market rally today. When oh when will investors learn to stop buying all the hype from all the b.s. artists trying to pump up the market. Just as the housing market didn't end a year ago when Wall Street was trying to perpetuate that lie, the credit crisis is very far from over today. All the Fed is doing is extending the pain.
