- Good consolidation
In response to Good consolidation posted by GROUNDZERO: Thats is avery good point about options. A wasting asset except for those who watch time pass by writing them. Thats the term I refer to as "watching grass grow"!

- Good consolidation
In response to Good consolidation posted by US55: I make as much, if not more, in writing Calls and Puts than I do with net positions, writing options is a necessary requisite in the full arsenal in the trader's bag of tricks... otherwise you're stepping into the boxing ring with one hand tied behind your back... writing options locks in profits, I don't mind if I limit the profits, greed will ruin any trade, and the premiums for the March contract right now are fully plump and loaded with time premiums, ripe and ready for the picking... some of my positions are net long so I can let them run and allow the market to give me what I can get, sometimes I end up with more and sometimes with less than writing a Call against that position... so, writing an option can also increase one's profits...

In response to RE: Fridays Employment Reports... posted by WalkBarr: I wonder if the markets got a heads up about Friday's numbers... and anyone have any idea why the NAZ is so weak compared to the DOW and SP?

- RE: Fridays Employment Reports...
In response to RE: Fridays Employment Reports... posted by GROUNDZERO: Just my thought, I think the loss carry forward option is being used to finally shed some huge thuming funds took and never recovered from. They went to other sectors that did very, very well and now they can dump the dogs that never made it home.
