» US55 - Not going to argue

with the spiral but I see an
opportunity for large positions
to move money out during this quiet period especially with
sentiment so high. Also the VIX
has been incredibally low but turns on a dime with any negative notion. There has been some huge gains and I am sure those winners have their hand on the trigger. It would not take much to reverse.

In response to Not going to argue posted by US55:

We're entering a bullish season for equities and Thanksgiving week is typically a very strong week for the markets, most of those gains come on Wednesday and Friday with a 70% degree of probability for significant gains on those two days... so, I would have to expect a rally from here... but who knows?

I would agree except for the fact that we have had a 12% gain
for the S&P and with that in your pocket, personally I would take that to the bank. This old
Jewish guy who traded T-Bills
at the board of trade told me "its not how much you make, its how much you keep". There is
something to be said about that!

Does anyone have a good explanation why the DOW and SP's have been so weak and the NAZ has been so strong in recent days?

In response to Anyone have an idea? posted by GROUNDZERO:

I think the reason is that technology, which comprises a large part of that index is in play. Net + flows of money have been moving into this sector for
sometime. Many traders see this as an opportunity to invest into an area with potential double digit growth. As they move in, the general public follow.
