In response to Could someone give me a live read on the sept. s&p futures. posted by tradesome1:up 16.5 @3:58 eastern spu7 brofojoe -- posted by brofojoe » lcha - Futures up in evening The S&P futures are up 12.25 this evening. I guess Bank of America putting $2B into Countrywide was a nice move. OK, I am trying a 'cute' move in the after hours trading. I closed out my long position I took at 1393 last week at 1480 this evening. There was a 10 point gap up from 1468 to 1478 and these evening gaps usually get partially filled so I have a buy limit for 1473.50 to get an extra 6 points. Of course it is probably a dumb move as we may go up from here and if so I'll learn lesson #5671. I'll be long again on a spiral reversal by a few days anyway so... I'm pretty happy with this last down spiral. I initially went short when the main up spiral reversed at 1513 and closed the position at 1493 for 20 points. I took a long position at 1393 on a mini down spiral wall play and closed it this evening for 87 points. So, I'll drink a glass of HDL boosting wine tonight and toast to 107 points while I have it. BTW, I have the reverse point for tomorrow at 1498. -- posted by lcha » somedude3 - Yes, I meant the 1400 level... In response to Yes, I meant the 1400 level... posted by GROUNDZERO:
