In response to Congrats to all spiral heads!!! posted by GROUNDZERO:This morning, along with Kirk's newsletter picks I've been buying, I was going to commit $50K to a SPY ETF. Then I read GZ's post about using the e-mini futures as a broad portfolio investment vehicle. In my head, I had the idea that the futures were short term stuff. So, I bought an e-mini this morning and placed a 'catastrophe' stop WAY down from what I would normally have done. This e-mini was going to be as long term as an SPY buy would have been. So far I'm up 36.5 points on the trade and I have GZ to thank for that. And thanks to Kirk for keeping up with the tech stocks that I just don't have the time to do myself. -- posted by lcha » chlo888 - I'll second that..My acct is up 16% in the last month In response to Congrats to all spiral heads!!! posted by lcha:
-- posted by chlo888 » lcha - Up spiral peek I just took a look at the up spiral that will be created next week assuming todays low holds. . Man, it is HUGE! Even a more 'moderate' up spiral one can draw is slightly less than HUGE. . Of course, the way the markets have been behaving lately, next week seems a LONG ways away. -- posted by lcha » GROUNDZERO - Up spiral peek In response to Up spiral peek posted by lcha:

GZ now you really confused me...reactive or predictive???? -- posted by Handshake5 » GROUNDZERO - Handshake5 In response to Handshake5 posted by Handshake5:
Yes, the new up spiral is looking for the 1650ish level, but let me translate that English into English... I said: "Right, the coming up spiral is looking for a possible 1650's level some time in mid January 2008, what a beautiful thing!!!" This means: "Right, the coming up spiral is looking for a possible 1650's level some time in mid January 2008 (before a major over bought condition can occur), what a beautiful thing!!!" Again, I'm always referring to limits, not goals... these are not targets, these are prices levels where buying or selling is expected IF we actually get there... Was this any more clear? Thanks again for helping me clarify...
