If the weekly down spiral actually materialized, the 1150 level would not likely come into play for several months, but again, I think tomorrow will see a rally, and if so then we could well be on our way to somewhere above the 1400 level...

I've been very busy in the workshop tinkering with my model and trying to pick the very tops and bottoms, and based on the new revision of my model, I will say the bottom is in and we're on our way to the 1410ish level in the Decembers... let's see if this new revision works...

The market has already poped up. Good trade to catch 1371. It was setting on the bottom trend line of short term up channel, and up trend line of long term up channel.

I agree completely, even when I'm short... it just seems counter to our nature to take short positions in the market, but you gotta do what you gotta do, and sometimes it takes elephant balls and no second guessing, you just have to jump in and hope you're right, that's what trading is all about at the emotional level...

BTW, if this revised model does well, I could then pick very near the tops and bottoms before the spiral issues any signal or confirmation... this is excellent news...

When you last posted your short position, you had talked about a turning point of perhaps 20-30 points down from the 1395 level where we were at that time. That's close to levels now.

Is that spiral still intact, or has there been sufficient change in the spiral to look for an even lower turning point? If so, how low do you see it now.

I like the idea that you are still tweaking your system!

Yes, we've reached the 30 point stretch, the model is still short but I think it's worth taking a nibble at this level...
