What is your “investment portfolio” asset allocation to equities for Q4, 2006? Take our poll one our home page at http://investment.suite101.com

These results refer to the poll one our home page at http://investment.suite101.com

Equities includes all stocks, ETFs and stock mutual funds. Don’t include bonds, CDs, money market accounts, REITs, GOLD, etc. Complete the sentence: I have

  • 0 to 20% in equities (28 votes, 15.47%)
  • 21 to 40% in equities (20 votes, 11.05%)
  • 41 to 60% in equities (45 votes, 24.86%)
  • 61 to 80% in equities (50 votes, 27.62%)
  • 81 to 100% in equities (38 votes, 20.99%)

If we classify 0 to 40% as "bearish" then we have 26.52% bearish

If we classify 61 to 100% as "bullish" then we have 48.61% bullish

with 24.86% "balanced."

Of course, this ignores age where someone 80 years old might be quite bullish and only have 20% in the stock market. Likewise, somone 25 years old should normally be close to 100% in equities but they might drop to 50:50 if bearish for the near term... but it is interesting to see how our readers allocate their assets.
