Bob Brinker has been on radio for over 20 years talking about money. He has been described as a "lightning rod" because some love him and others think far less.

Please post your story in our "Bob Brinker Testimonial Forum."

In our Bob Brinker Free Discussion Forum we discuss Bob Brinker's market timing model, his newsletter "Marketimer" and his advice given on the radio. Please cross post your testimonial there so we can discuss it.

Bob Brinker gives a lot of very good advice on his radio show such as his "7 Steps to Critical Mass."

According to the Chicago Tribune, Brinker's mission "is to inform listeners to the point where they can manage their own money". Brinker also says that he tries "to help people avoid the sharks". Brinker goes on to say that the following seven steps must be mastered.

    .
  1. Employ quantum-leap thinking. Look forward, decide where you want to be and how you can get there.
  2. Pay yourself first. Put money away before you have a chance to spend it.
  3. Make maximum use of tax-deferred savings vehicles.
  4. Reinvest all income and dividend distributions.
  5. Invest only in quality.
  6. Use no-load, or no-commission, mutual funds, to build a diversified portfolio.
  7. Use triple diversification. Diversify by asset class, within each asset class and by investing at regular intervals.

Anyone that gives financial advice and who tries to predict the future with "market timing" will have some real stinkers in the mix. Bob only likes to take calls on his show about his good advice so it is helpful to document his bad advice, should anyone get the false impression he is infallible. That is what this forum is for, documenting the good and the bad .

This article has a discussion forum attached to it that we want to use to post "personal testimonials" about your experiences with Bob Brinker, good and bad.

Feel free to copy stories from other places, including articles in the press, here but please make it clear you are reposting someone else's story or testimonial. As such, please make it clear who wrote the story in the first paragraph.
